In 1987, I attained an Associate in Science with Honors from College of DuPage. I then transferred to the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed my Bachelor of Science in the Teaching of Biological Sciences in 1991. I taught Biology, Physical Science, Anatomy & Physiology at Driscoll Catholic High School in Addison, IL and Kaneland High School in Maple Park, IL. While teaching, I was the Student Council Sponsor at both schools; I was also attending graduate courses at Northern Illinois University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in pursuit of my Masters in Biology.
In 1999, I left the traditional classroom to work in the field of technology and computers but I have never stopped teaching. While working for a Silicon Valley start-up company, I helped employees to work more efficiently with their computer networks and helped set up company Intranet websites; I also have my own small business designing and maintaining websites.
I have always enjoyed teaching and my love of the sciences has never diminished. Most importantly, I enjoy helping others learn how to learn. When armed with the skills of logic, critical thinking and problem solving, there is no obstacle that can get in your way!
I look forward to helping your son/daughter succeed and achieve their goals in school, helping them fine tune the skills they will use in college and in their career.
